Acting

My post this month will be about acting!

As some of you already know, I really like to act, be it at the campsite I work, or at the Drama club at school.

This post will be a short summary of some plays I did in the past few years.
(And yes, there will be pictures)

Campsite
As most of you know, I work at a campsite every summer, in an animationteam.
Here, we play a short, 20 minute long, play for the kids. The characters in these plays are different everyday, one day there are pirates, and the next day there are cowboys and indians. This makes for some hilarious little plays.

Here I'm a bouncer, and I got the thief!
Being a cowboy sheriff, and a father, is hard..
Here are some pictures of me in these Nightstories.

Are you ready to party??

Shh, I'm not here!

I'm totally not wearing a dress or anything...

Did you know some pirates wear dresses because they're comfy?

Little Riding Hood.. And yes, I am the grandma.

At the campsite we also do musicals, luckily for the people watching, we don't have to sing live, but lipsynch. I also have some pics of some musicals I played in.
You've been a bad boy, Kruimeltje. I need to beat you now.

I want to see soe cash, or you'll be dead. (fun fact: She did die)

Lion King, Simba and Nala singing 'I cant wait to be king'.

Zazu singing 'news of the day'

Jane and her father in Tarzan

As you can see, multpiple musicals, and multiple roles.
I also played in Mary Poppins, but I had multiple little roles in it, and I can't find pictures of me in that musical.

This year we will probably play the Little Mermaid, and I can't wait!

Drama Club

As I mentioned at the start, I'm in a drama club. This club is at my school, and called 'Wordt vervolgd' wich is 'To be continued' in Dutch.

Every year we do a play for kids at primary schools, and sometimes we do a short play for the kinderboekenweek, a week where reading and books are promoted.
I was the bunny from Alice in Wonderland.

The subject of this Kinderboekenweek was 'Heroes'

We did a play about night stories, and I was a giant book!

One of the nightstories was a Knight story

This year we're doing a play about Farm animals, I'll post some pictures once I have them!

Now this is a little bonus, at the campsite we have a 'playbackshow' a show where the guests can do a little lipsynch act. And we, as the organisers, do a little act ourself most of the time. And guess what?
Some of our acts are on youtube, so here's one of my worst acts, and the best act I've done. (note: They are in Dutch)

Annoying teenagers UPDATE!

Hi everyone!

Remember my post where I talked about the annoying teenagers in my street? Well, I have an update!

After the events around new years (big fire, threats, etc(Read my earlier post, the new years one)) some people from my neighbourhood sent a letter to our mayor, requesting a meeting in wich we and the mayor/police could tell their stories.

Well, last week me, my dad and some neigbours had the meeting with the mayor.
Not just the mayor, but also a chief from the police and a guy who knows a lot about safety and youthcare.

The mayor let us talk first, this was great, since we had a lot to say. We started by explaining the letter, and telling all the stuff that happened. After that we said that we had the feeling nothing was done about our complaints and those teenagers. Sure, there are some police cars driving through the street, but the teenagers notice the policecars and get inside the house of one of my neighbours, a guy who helps the teenagers. So when the policemen make a report, there is nothing to report, because the teenagers went inside.

Then it was time for the police chief to talk.
He said that our street is a 'hotspot'. This means the police are observing our street EVERY DAY.

Furthermore, they are busy dealing with the teenagers, but it's all happening 'backstage'. So it looks to us there isn't anything happening, but actually there is. (They say, I still haven't seen any changes)
He also told us they can't really do something, unless they catch the teenagers doing something illegal.
He also mentioned to us, the police have been talking to the guy who helps the teenagers.
When the police talks to him, he is very open and says he will help the police and talk with the teenagers, but when he is at home, and the teenagers are there, he does nothing. The police even named him 'TwoFaced'  (Batman, we need you!)

All jokes aside, we came to some agreements:

1. Everytime the teenagers are being a nuisance, and irritating, we have to phone the police. Because the more complaints the police has, the more they can do.

2. Both parties (us and the police/mayor) will do their best and have another meeting in about two months.

Tl;Dr:  The police sucks and told us they can't so anything, unless the teenagers do something illegal.

So it has to go wrong before they can act.. What happened to 'Preventing is better than curing'?

Q&A and laptopadapters

 Hey there!

I got a week off from school this week, so I thought it would be a good time to do my post.
This morning I was watching some animé while eating breakfast, when my adapter died on me.
So my whole planning got messed up. I had to get a new one since I got almost everything on my laptop, most of the important stuff (music, films, animé) are on my External HD, but my school work is still on my laptop. So I had to get a new adapater. The first thing I did when I got a new one was transferring my schoolwork to my external HD.

In my january blog I asked for some questions I could answer in this blog.

Time for the Q&A!!!

Fang said:
Tell us about your youthhh.

And Jamie (not from the bloggersphere but frequent reader) said:
I want to know about your childhood, what you wanted to be when you had grown up, if you had any ideals in life, has anything changed, do you like who you turned out to be?

I'm going to merge these two questions, since they're almost the same.
I grew up in a pretty quiet neighbourhood, according to my parents I used to play on the street with a girl from across the street. When I was 4 we moved to a different town, into a bigger house because my mum was pregnant with my second sister.

Since I was 4 I had to go school, and in the first 2 grades there wasn't any problem. From 3rd grade I got bullied by the older kids in my class and the kids from a grade higher. This changed me. I used to be a jolly, talkative kid who talked easily. Now it seemed like my selfesteem made a big downfall. So when I got to Middleschool I pretended to be someone I'm not. I wore a 'mask'. I even made some 'friends'. Ofcourse these friends aren't real and good friends, since they liked me for who I was when I wore the mask. There is one exception though, I met my best friend there, and he still is my best friend.

I graduated middleschool and started college, to study  Tourism and Leisure Management. We hade multiple schooltrips, and on one of them I got in the 'newsgroup'. Our task was to film things that happened each day, and make a newsbulletin. We shared our workingroom with the newspapergroup. This was a lot of fun. One day we got in a big talk and made jokes and stuff, and had a lot of fun. I tried to be myself again, the jolly, talkative kid. The next day one of the girls from the newspapergroup came to me and asked me if I wa myself the night before, I said I was, and she said I should be myself more, since I was a nice guy to be around with. Since that day I took my mask of bit by bit. I graduated and we had an awesome party. I made some good friends there, and I still see a few of them. In fact, one of them is in my current class.

So currently I'm studying to be a teacher, and in my first year I met some of the most awesome people ever. We are really good friends, and we get together and have lots of fun. I love you guys <3

Rose_Ever_After (one of the friends I met at my current study) said:
I want you to tell me something I don't already know about you. Cuz I can't come up with anything I'd like to ask you...

Something you don't know about me... Err, I'm not sure you know all the stuff I talked about at the last question. But I keep changing myself, in multiple ways. You know how I was in the first year, I barely studied and kept getting 6/10's on my tests. Now I study.
Most of my social life is on the interwebz. Be it on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, but also on gaming sites (transformice). I met some really good friends online, and I'd love to meet them in real life. Some of them are such good friends that I can talk about anything with them, be it on Skype or on Kik. Love you guys too <3

New Years/ New Years resolutions

First of all, Happy New year and the best of wishes for 2013!

Sorry for being so late, but I didn't have the time to write this thing earlier (read: I was really lazy)

New Years resolutions, almost everyone has at least one of them, it could be going to the gym, doing your best for school or something better for your health as eating healthier or stop smoking.

Me, I only have one this year and I plan to keep it: Keeping up my blog.

I'm not going to do a daily blog, since that obvious failed the last time, since I couldn't find things to talk about. So I am keeping a monthly blog! This doesn't mean that here will only be one blog every month, it could be I come across something I really want to share, and I will write a blog about it.

Now the first blog, this one, will be about things that happened here around New Years.

In the town I live in, there are some teenagers who create a lot of nuisance. They where hanging around the 'port' we have, and weren't causing a lot of trouble there for there are almost no people living in the close proximity. Still, there where people who complained about them chilling there, and they were forbidden to stay there.

They quickly found a new place to chill: Our street.

The street I live in is (was) a quiet street where neighbours know each other and a lot of kids play on the streets. There's one of these teenagers who ownes a car. Each individual of the group, even those who aren't even the legal driving age, have been seen driving too hard through the street. We fear for the day when one of the kids playing on the street is hit by the car. After numerous complaints, the only thing that has changed are the policecars driving through the street at least once a day.

The teens notice the car, dissapear indoors, waiting for the policecar to pass and continue their chilling/littering, illegal driving, etc. There are even neighbours who have seen them dealing drugs like weed etc.

In the week before new years, they had (illegal) fireworks, and they terrorised the neighbourhood with it. They were also seen carrying wood and such, to create a bonfire. Last year the bonfire got out of hand and the firedepartment had to come. So we, as concerned neighbours, notified the police and such. They said they would 'come and have a look'.  Well, they didn't. Wich resulted in the fact that at new years, some bushes 'accidentally' got set on fire. The older couple living next door to the teenagers whose bushes where set on fire quickly removed their car and started putting out the fire.
While they were waiting for the firedeparment, and kept trying to put out the fire, they kept being insulted and threatened by the teenagers. The police and fire department came, put out the fire, and confiscated the remaining wood. As soon as the police left, they started to collect more wood and even matrasses. We called the police and they came to 'oversee' the new bonfire.

Afterwards, when some neighbours were talking about everything that happened, the man who got threatened mentioned they were threatened before, by letter, and even by the teenagers themselves, who just knocked on the door and threatened them face to face.

Some neighbours had already contacted the guy who deals with the safety in our town, but it seems that guy did everything of as 'a little accident'.  So we decided to go a step higher: we contacted the mayor. At this point we haven't got a response, but we hope this will be resolved quickly. Our street has gone from a nice, quiet place for families to live, to a breeding place of crime...

Now I'd like to ask you guys something. For a coming blog (the February one) I'd like to tell something about myself. This is where I need your help. Ask me anything you want to know about me in the comments. (well anything.. Try to keep it PG 13) I'll ask some friends from other sites (facebook, twitter, etc.) to do the same and I'll make that my next blog.

Blogs, friends and the end of mankind

First of all, sorry for not writing a blog in like, forever.

Yesterday was 21-12-12 and we should've been dead. Since we're not, a new blog!

I was talking on kik with a friend I met on an online game (transformice, check it out, it's pretty awesome) and it was an awesome conversation.

It started when I talked about my crush, then we talked about how my crush said I'm like her boyfriend. My friend, let's call him Fishing from now on, said I had to focus on how him and me are different. I named one difference: He writes fanfiction, and I can barely keep up a blog.
Fishing mentioned he didn't get the point of writing a blog, after talking about it with him, and me saying it's fun to blog about yourself and things you do and like. And that you can make new friends!

Fishing said it could be possible that people take advantage of you trough a blog. I said it wasn't possible unless they have your accountname and password and such. (of course it's possible to hack, but most bloggers are awesome and won't do that.)

This lead the conversation to the point of friendship. How do you know who your real friends are?
Well, we mentioned that you don't know who your real friends are, until you need them. Since real friends would be there for you, while 'friends' won't. Fishing joked that a good friend will be there when you need them, and a real good friend will help you move the body. Ofcourse your best friends helped you kill.

Now it's true that even a stranger can be helpful, but I don't walk around telling random strangers my problems.

But what if people did? They walk around town, telling everyone they see their problems, you would feeld miserable yourself, because you get  everyones problems. The only way to make everyone happy there, would be killing them.

Fishing said you'd get miserable for eating nothing but human flesh, since there aren't any farmers to farm. I noticed there will still be animals to kill and eat. And it isn't that hard to keep chickens, they'll give meat and eggs. And you'll just burn the dead bodies to keep warm. Fishing mentioned there will be wood for fires to keep you warm, and you'll only have a pile of rotting bodies. Having that pile of bodies will make you feel miserable, so you kill yourself, and thus destroying mankind.

So the conclusion we came to is: Blogging makes friends that destroys mankind.  So if you want to end mankind, just make a blog!

Aarrgghh!!

I'm going to rant today.

It seems my mobile provider has some very local problems.. very locally.. just me..

I have no mobile range whatsoever, and even my mobile internet isn't working. This sucks monkeyballs..

I can only use WiFi...

This means I can't call or receive calls.. And my provider isn't very helpfull.. They say there isn't a known problem and tell me to restart my phone (Like I haven't tried already) or to remove and reinsert my simcard..

This has been going on for four days already.. It frustrates the hell out of me..

So anyone got any tips on how to resolve this problem?

Yikes!

I didn't write a post yesterday!

In my defense, I had a very busy day. I woke up late after I finally had a good night rest.
After that, I took my time to shower, get dressed and to eat something.
Early in the afternoon I had to go to my little sister's school because she graduated.
After this the whole family went out to dinner, wich wasn't planned, so my plan to write a post after her graduation party failed.

I had to leave the dinner early because a friend of mine held a housewarming party.

Another friend of ours brought her boyfriend from the USA over, so we had to talk English all evening. We played a drinking game, kingsen, but then translated into English, it was hilarious!

Afterwards, the American told us it was the first time he played a drinking game, it even was the first time he drank so much alcohol!

When we walked them to their hotel we talked about games and going to America (need the money though)

This morning I received a textmessage from my friend saying our American friend had a hangover, and she had to drag him to the shower. How fun.

As usual I'm a bit tired of not having enough sleep, but no hangover, hooray!

To make up for not posting yesterday here's a nice youtube video I found.
It's a remix with all hits from Bruno Mars. It's awesome!

And as a bonus:
